The 10 Essentials

Happy Week, hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!!!!

As the weather changes, we find ourselves wrestling through the closet to find something to wear. Because we don't want to go to the store for every occasion, nor do we want to wear the same thing AGAIN. It came across my heart to list essentials that can be mixed and matched to create an entirely different look for any body type.

1.A white button down (classic) blouse

2. A sweater, it should be long enough to wear as a dress for date night and also versatile (short) enough to wear with a belt and some type of bottom (jeans, leggings - for those that apply).

3. A wrap dress

4.  A simple fitted dress

5. A blazer - that has been fitted for you (shoulders and arms should look perfect)

6. A cowl neck shirt

7. A cardigan

8. A jean jacket

9. Bootcut (dark) jeans - dark jeans can easily be translated from day to night

10. A trouser

The possibilities are endless with these 10 pieces, below I created some looks - just to give you some ideas of how to mix and match.

Outfit #1
Wear the white button down blouse over the fitted dress ( the dress will assume the role of a skirt and camisole) and a wide belt (this could be your pop of color).
Outfit #2
Wear the trouser with the same fitted dress tucked into the slacks (dress is assuming the role of a tank or tshirt), throw on the denim jacket (collar up/funky) with a colorful scarf or a dramatic necklace.

Outfit #3
Wear the fitted dress with the blazer, you could either belt the blazer and roll the sleeves with a fab bracelet or leave the blazer open/ sleeves down with a layered necklace.

Outfit #4
Wear the sweater dress or fitted dress with some vibrant or patterned tights, denim jacket, throw on a scarf and some hoops (earrings)

Outfit #5
The cowl neck top will look fab with the jeans or the trousers, but let's think outside the box.  Take the cowl neck turn it around (creating a low back and boat or crew neck in the front). Throw on a substantial size studded pearl earring, cocktail ring and a clutch.

Outfit #6
Pair the white blouse with the blazer and jeans. Pull the hair off the neck, collar up, a few buttons unbuttoned on the blouse (don't be afraid it's only cleavage) and add either a Y (lariat) necklace with a stud earring or just some hoops with a fab ring (I prefer funky and big, it just adds a little flavor to the classic look).

Your essentials should be neutral, color and prints can be added with the accessories (jewelry, handbag, shoes, belts, scarfs, tights and hats)

I have a few more suggestions, but I have a date and of course I'm running late.  I'll let you know a tad bit about my date tomorrow and give you more ideas on how to rock your ten essentials.

Goodnight all, tomorrow I'm gonna discuss integrating this season trends into are essential wardrobe pieces.
